U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned his supporters against being "complacent" this fall, asking voters to send more Republicans to Congress while crediting Democrats with "sticking together" to oppose his agenda.
"During a campaign rally in Nashville for Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn - running for Bob Corker's seat - he told the crowd they need to turn out for the midterms or risk the safety of the nation", Ruhle noted.
"He's an absolute, total tool of Chuck Schumer and the MS-13 lover, Nancy Pelosi", Mr. Trump said, referring to the Democratic leaders of the Senate and House. Earlier this month, House Democratic Leader Pelosi criticized Trump's rhetoric and policies on immigrants after he called members of the global gang "animals". "We are all God's children", Pelosi argued in response last week.
"Tennessee needs a senator that is going to support President Donald Trump and I am going to be there to stand with President Donald Trump and take your Tennesee values to Washington DC to fight with him to get the job done", said Trump.
A soggy forecast Tuesday for Nashville may dampen the long lines expected again.
"In the end, Mexico is going to pay for the wall", Trump told the crowd. "They don't want the wall, they want open borders, they're more interested in taking care of criminals than they are of taking care of you - Bredesen donated a lot of money to the campaigns of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton".
Rudy Giuliani booed by Yankees fans on his birthday
Either fans were taking out their frustrations on Giuliani or he's just not as popular as he once was in the Big Apple. The Yankees were turning in a tepid Memorial Day performance, losing to the Houston Astros 5-1 in the 9th inning.
To keep this momentum going, to continue this incredible progress, to keep on winning, you have to vote Republican in November.
U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, the leading Republican candidate. And it's going to be a very special time. "We are returning the power back to our great American patriots". The Tennessee campaign is among several races crucial to Trump's plans to maintain control of the Senate, where Republicans are defending a narrow two-seat majority.
Trump won Tennessee decidedly in 2016 and remains popular there.
"This November, this is the state were America's comeback will continue full speed ahead", the president said.
