The "warrior princess" inside Serena Williams came out in full fighting mode at the French Open on Thursday as the American proved she was no pushover when it came to making an impact in a Grand Slam arena.
According to BBC, speaking to reporters after her 7-6 (4), 6-4 victory over Kristyna Pliskova, Williams said the suit made her feel like a superhero.
Her first grand slam action in over 15 months had the Paris fashionistas in a whirl as she walked on court in a black bodysuit with a bright pink belt. "It's really fun. Although we designed it way before the movie, but still, it kind of reminds me of that". But when Williams said she was ready to play in the French Open, it seemed she thought she'd be in shape to challenge for the title.
"It's been two years since I played here".
