With rumours hotting up that Thibaut Courtois could be on his way to Real Madrid, it's emerged that former Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech is the primary target to fill the Belgian's gloves if he does join Los Blancos.
Rumours have gathered pace his Courtois' heroics in Russian Federation during the FIFA World Cup and Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws has reported Real have already offered €55m (£48.5m) for the stopper.
Madrid are expected to return with an improved bid later today, although some reports have suggested that Chelsea will refuse to sell for anything less than €200m (£178.3m), which would make Hazard the second-most expensive player of all time.
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has agreed terms with Real Madrid and is in Spain waiting for the west London club to green light his transfer, according to reports.
Kevin Anderson topples John Isner in longest ever Wimbledon semi-final
Second-seeded Rafael Nadal and 12th-seeded Novak Djokovic took the court after Isner and Anderson, about 8:10 p.m. local time . Nadal will regret his missed opportunity the night before, when he was in the ascendancy but passed up two set points.
And with just 12 months to run on his contract Chelsea have made a decision to sell before potentially losing him for free next year.
Speaking to Cadena SER, Martinez said: "It could be the best time [for Hazard] to try something different".
The veteran goalkeeper admitted last night that he had the chance to leave Arsenal last month amid interest from Napoli, but he claimed he was ready to fight for his place. "You know my preferred destination".
The issue, however, for Chelsea would be that they will have to spend whatever they get from the Courtois deal and a little extra as well to land the shot-stopper they need.
