Trump was speaking to a crowd of officers from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and US Customs and Border Protection, which he mistakenly referred to as "CBC" instead of "CBP" throughout his half hour of remarks.

He lambasted Democrats who have called for the abolishment of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The so-called #AbolishICE movement saw a surge in mainstream attention as images began to surface out of the southern border following the Trump administration's enforcement of a "zero tolerance" policy that resulted in the separation of hundreds of children from their parents who had crossed the border illegally.
"Let me extend my gratitude to every law enforcement professional representing ICE and CBC enforcement and removal operations", Trump said at one during an event the White House billed as a Salute to the Heroes of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE and Customs and Border Protection.
"I think we're going to have much more of a red wave than what you're going to see as a phony blue wave", Trump said in the East Room.

A progressive movement to abolish ICE has caught fire ahead of November's midterm elections and 2020's presidential elections is growing among activists and candidates, who Trump called "extremists".
"Tragically, the courageous men and women of ICE have recently been subjected to a nationwide campaign of smears, insults and attacks by politicians shamelessly catering to the extreme elements in our society that desire lawlessness and anarchy", Trump wrote.
"The vast majority, they're all with you", Trump said, calling opponents a small group that gets a lot of publicity.
"People are dying due to their either lack of knowledge, lack of understanding, or just plain stupidity", Trump said.
"We will not stand for the vile smears, the hateful attacks and the vicious assaults on the courageous men and women of ICE, border patrol and law enforcement", Trump said.
Trump has made border security a key part of his message as he tries to maintain Republican control of Congress.
"I just think it's unconscionable, and frankly, I think it's downright unpatriotic and treasonous", Perdue said.
