For the season finale of his show Who Is America?, which aired on USA network HBO on Sunday, the British comedian donned a disguise and pretended to be an eccentric Italian playboy to secure a chat with O.J.
Who Is America? has caused a bit of a stir of late - and Sacha Baron Cohen's latest creation promises to go out with a bang.
For a mid-credits segment, Cohen slipped in a conversation between Gio Monaldo - his aggressively unfunny, super-rich-Italian-playboy character - and O.J. Simpson. Nor did she draw a connection when Monaldo brought up Simpson's appearances in "The Naked Gun" franchise. "She knows that", Simpson said. "She's gorgeous, but sometimes I want to kill her", he admitted in character as Gio.
Gio said he'd like to "send her on a private helicopter and throw her over the Grand Canyon - oopsy daisy".
O.J. Simpson's lawyer Malcolm P. LaVergne told ABC News on Monday that Simpson is actually a fan of Cohen's and has been for some time. He also tells Simpson they're both "lady killers", which he said translates into "somebody who murders women".
At the beginning of the segment, Gio introduced Simpson to his girlfriend Christina, but she didn't recognize him until Gio mimicked stabbing her repeatedly. "Ah!"

Officials continue to encourage people to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes by taking basic precautions to help to limit exposure. Limit the number of places around your home for mosquitoes to breed by either draining or getting rid of items that hold water.
I think it's safe to say that former Congressman Barney Frank is not a fan of Dr. Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr., Cohen's Alex Jones-type character who's affiliated with a fictional site called Truthbrary.org.
In case you are a mere tween, totally ignorant or were fortunately sheltered from the heart-wrenching spectacle of the OJ Simpson case, we'll sum it up briefly. The ex-Buffalo Bill responded laughing while saying, "I didn't kill nobody".
"Ah, I didn't either", Monaldo chuckled.
"I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitative, sick "humor" of the British "comedian" Sacha Baron Cohen", she wrote in a lengthy Facebook statement. Gio continued, proceeding to snag a high-five from Simpson.
"Well, first off she wasn't my wife, we had been divorced we had been separated for two years", Simpson explains.
