Since 2015, Palestinians have killed over 50 Israelis, two visiting Americans and a British tourist in stabbings, shootings and car-ramming attacks.
On Friday, Israeli soldiers killed three Palestinians, one of them an 11-year-old boy, and wounded at least 248 others taking part in weekly protests at the fortified Gaza Strip border, Palestinian medical officials said.
Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Gaza health ministry, said yesterday that the ministry stood by its statement that the boy was killed by Israeli fire and that an autopsy would confirm further details. "This Friday was his destiny to die as a martyr", said the boy's father, Abdel-Aziz Abdel-Al. A civilian bystander also shot at the attacker, identified Khalil Jabarin, 17, from the West Bank village of Yatta near Hebron. "He posed no threat".
