Police in NY have taken to social media to track down a man who dropped an engagement ring through a grate in Times Square as he knelt down to propose.
"She said Yes - but he was so excited that he dropped the ring in a grate".
When the couple asked police for help, emergency service officers could not immediately find the ring - but continued looking after the couple left.
But - after persistent searching - officers found the engagement ring, have cleaned it and are now attempting to track down the couple.
They are now asking the public to help them find the newly engaged couple.

Police have also released surveillance photos of the couple and showing the woman crouching and the man lying over the grate as they try and retrieve the ring.
"The unidentified man is described as 5'8" or 5'9" with short brown hair and a beard.
