Respawn Entertainment dispelled rumors and theories surround the future of its Titanfall franchise by confirming Titanfall 3 isn't in development and Apex Legends is the studio's focus. "There are some people who think there are too many battle royale games or it's a fad, the world thinks we're making Titanfall 3 and we're not - this is what we're making", he said. If you're starting to get a little worn out over Fortnite or PUBG, this may be the alternative battle royale game for you. That's not bad in comparison to some other loot box systems, but it is still a loot box system. Players will select from one of eight Legends - each with their own unique abilities and playstyles - and the last team standing wins.
So, if you like Respawn, our games or even me, you should tune in tomorrow. What could be featured are the other aspects of Titanfall's gameplay that made for its fast-paced action.
Reports have also begun to pop up on other sites that Apex Legends has completely replaced a third Titanfall game - according to Kotaku, Titanfall 3 isn't now in development and Apex Legends is what we're getting instead.

A free to play game with a maximum map capacity of 60 players at any given time and one that will play like a mix of Fortnite, Overwatch and whatever else is trendy right now, while supporting itself with the usual vanity items for cash and loot boxes marketplace.
"Our goal in every game you play is that you come in with a plan but you leave with a story".
It's a significant turnaround from previous reports, which seemingly confirmed Titanfall 3's existence - with everything pointing towards a 2019 release. But Apex Legends is a squad-based battle royale - a format that's left a lot of us feeling worn out - and the studio says it's not working on Titanfall 3.
