The 2019 NBA All-Star weekend is coming up and for the second year in a row, the All-Star game featured a pick-up style team selection process by captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Then with his first pick amongst the reserve pool, James opted for Davis.
"Pop is going to tell me I can only play him two minutes", James said, likely only half-seriously.
And with the sixth pick of the non-starters round and the 14th pick overall, James selected Lillard for his team while tapping his wrist and repeating Lillard's now-famous "You know what time it is" tagline.
"I might pick Steph because he picked me first a year ago, so I've got to return the favour", Antetokounmpo said after Milwaukee's 113-94 victory over Brooklyn.
But on Thursday, James selected Westbrook to his team.
EU nations back Venezuela's Guaido as Maduro faces rising pressure
Military: Maduro through his allies controls most of Venezuela's main state institutions - most importantly the military. Maduro has rejected all offers of aid, dismissing it as the thin edge of a wedge of United States military involvement.
Aldridge went ahead of four other all-star players and Dwayne Wade and Dirk Nowitzki who are special additions to the roster.
Giannis dubbed his squad "Team Length", taking Steph Curry, Joel Embiid, Paul George, Kemba Walker, Khris Middleton, Nikola Jokic, Ben Simmons, Blake Griffin, D'Angelo Russell, Nikola Vucevic, Kyle Lowry and Dirk Nowitzki.
The last of the starters to get drafted was the Hornets' Kemba Walker, who will be playing in front of his home fans at Charlotte's Spectrum Center.
James managed to make a trade, convincing Antetokounmpo to swap Westbrook for Simmons - and give the Bucks' star the chance to have Westbrook and Embiid together, as he said he wanted.
LeBron kicked off the the fun draft by picking Kevin Durant.
"I didn't have to lobby for it", Wade said.
