Preethi Reddy was captured on CCTV before her disappearance.
Her family didn't know if she attended the parade, where she stayed on Saturday night, where she was on Sunday morning, or what happened to her vehicle.
"It used to be a safe area so I'm just a bit concerned now".
On Tuesday, the police located her vehicle parked on a street in Kingsford, south of the city centre.
"Further inquiries have established that Preethi (Reddy) stayed at a hotel on Market Street, Sydney CBD, on Sunday with a man known to her", the police said.
"He was not at the time of this incident in a relationship with Preethi however there had been a previous relationship", he said.
Dengate said Strike Force Carlwood officers investigating the case were unsure where and when Dr Reddy was murdered but were working on the probability she was killed at the hotel.
"We are still working on the timeline of events and that's why we need the public to come forward with any information they have", he said.
The police reported that they had spoken to Narde before his death as part of a preliminary investigation, claiming that the investigation had still been in its initial stages.
Inside the restaurant, footage shows Dr Reddy standing alone at the counter.
OR man, dog survive five days in auto stuck in snow
Authorities responded with an Oregon Water Resource SnowCat, a construction vehicle, and were able to dig them out. Unfortunately for the pair, by the time Monday morning rolled around, even more snow had come down.
Police were told she last made contact with her family at about 11am on Sunday, saying she planned to head home after having a late breakfast in Sydney.
She was reported missing to Nepean Police Area Command later that night after she failed to arrive home the police added.
"On behalf of my family, I want to thank anyone who shared our appeals to find her, and those who provided information to the police and us over the last few days". After she went missing her family put up a Facebook page titled "Help find Preethi Reddy".
Police will say Reddy and her former boyfriend "met up in Sydney but we are now looking at all movements between those two to establish what happened", Detective Superintendent Gavin Dengate told reporters on Wednesday.
The Daily Mail reported that Harshwardhan was also a dentist in Tamworth and was at the same conference that Preethi had attended.
"I told them I might notice the vehicle before".
Glenbrook Dental Surgery, where Dr Reddy worked, has closed for the day as staff grieve her death.
'This is not like her, she would not be missing voluntarily. she's our smiling, lovely angel'.
Friends of Reddy said that she was a "gem" of a person who will be mourned.
"The ABC understands Dr Narde was the key suspect in Dr Reddy's murder", the report said. It was the last time they heard from her.
