KXIP vs KKR Live Score

The Dolphins traded Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans on Friday, which leaves them with Jake Rudock and Luke Falk on their depth chart at quarterback.

The Dolphins will get a fourth-round pick in 2020 and a seventh-round pick this year, while the Titans will receive Tannehill and a sixth-round pick in 2019.

Regardless of those well-laid plans, Miami was going to cut ties with Tannehill just to get his cap hit off the books and start anew at the quarterback position.

Tannehill will become a well-accomplished backup for Marcus Mariota in Tennessee.

The Dolphins now face a new era without a clear answer at quarterback. This season Tannehill will count $18.4 against the Miami cap, but he will not count anything against the 2020 cap.

Barr backs out of Jets deal to stay with Vikings
He was the second-best free agent linebacker on NFL .com's list of the 101 best free agents, behind only Minnesota's Barr. The one big advantage the Vikings likely had in their negotiations is the fact that Barr is familiar with their defense.

To that part, the Dolphins recently hosted quarterback Teddy Bridgewater on a free-agent visit before Bridgewater elected to re-sign with the New Orleans Saints.

The eighth pick of the 2012 draft, Tannehill struggled to live up to the potential he exhibited at Texas A&M.

Gabbert threw four touchdowns and four interceptions during the season as well. Tannehill has missed 25 games over his last three seasons due to a variety of injuries including a right shoulder capsule injury that cost him five games in 2018.

And, spoiler alert, the Dolphins do not care one iota about the $5M they're sending to Tennessee.

Miami will have all seven of its own draft picks.
