Google has been using names of fish as codenames for its smartphones, and the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL are no exception - the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL are codenamed "bonito" and "sargo" respectively.
In related news, forthcoming Google phones with model numbers G020B and G020F that have been approved by Singapore's IMDA authority have also confirmed that they will be releasing in the market as the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. There have also been reports that Pixel 3a would have a 64GB of onboard storage.
Spotted by The Verge, Pixel 3a was shown as a product on the shop alongside the standard Pixel 3. In the latest news, both variants were spotted on the device catalog of Google Play Developer Console.
Sargo was said to offer a display with the resolution of 1080x2220 and the density of 440-pixels-per-inch while bonito was stated to have a 1080x2160 resolution and the density of 400-pixels-per-inch.

Both come with fast processors, incredible camera systems and a quality finish.
What features will the Google Pixel 3a have - or lose?
Past reports have revealed that the Snapdragon 670 SoC will be powering the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones. Both devices said to include 12-megapixel rear cameras, 8-megapixel selfies cameras, USB-C ports and headphone jacks, but none of these specifications were confirmed by the developer console leak.
That's five months later, so to retain the "3" branding before a Pixel 4 hits, the Pixel 3a is likely to be unveiled around May, mid-way through the flagship Pixel 3's lifetime. The Pixel 3a case is also mentioned in the "Accessories" section, and it seems to be a fabric case.
The Google Store pages revealed that Google's Connected Home product lineup could be gaining a new "Google Nest Hub Max". This is a clear indication that the search engine giant is aiming for a mid-2019 launch for the Pixel 3a series.
